Skalo.agency uses technical cookies, necessary for the website to work, and — only if you allow it — two separate categories: the statistical cookies of Google Analytics 4 and the campaign-measurement cookies of Google Ads. The two categories are accepted or declined one by one, and we do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
This website is hosted on Vercel, which may use strictly necessary technical cookies for content distribution (CDN) and website protection. These cookies do not track users and do not collect personal data. Also on Vercel runs Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate form: it writes no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not recognise you from one visit to the next, so it does not require your consent. It tells us how many people read the pages, not who they are.
If you consent to statistics, the website loads Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited): it tells us how many people visit the pages, where they come from and which content turns out to be useful — never who you are. If you consent to ad campaigns, it loads the Google Ads tag on campaign landing pages, to know which ads bring real enquiries. We have turned off data sharing with other Google products, and IP addresses are only used to estimate the country of origin without being stored. Until you consent, Google's script is not even downloaded: no request leaves your browser towards Google's servers.
On pages where you book an appointment (for example the social media management landing page), the calendar from Koalendar Inc. is embedded: it is the service you use to pick a day and time and to leave us your contact details. The frame loads together with the page because it is the very function you came to use, and Koalendar may write its own technical cookies to make it work. What you type into the calendar reaches us and Koalendar, and no one else.
On your first visit a panel appears at the bottom of the page with two equally weighted choices: Accept and Decline. With "Choose" you can decide category by category, because statistics and ad campaigns are different purposes and are authorised separately; the switches always start off. The panel does not dim the site, does not block reading and does not force you to answer in order to keep browsing: you can read and use every page leaving it where it is. If you would rather not answer, the X withdraws it into a small icon at the bottom right, and in that case it counts as a refusal for both categories: no cookie is installed. Silence, scrolling and closing the panel never count as consent.
You can change your mind at any time: click the icon at the bottom right and choose again — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it (Art. 7 § 3 GDPR). Your choice stays valid for 6 months, then you are asked again. Prior consent for non-technical cookies is required by Art. 5 § 3 of Directive 2002/58/EC and by the cookie guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021; technical cookies alone are exempt.
